Custom Corset by Suman Bharti : As Corset designer , I have come across lots of queries regarding corset sizing and problems. Most often, I come across problem faced by corset wearers for the first time, they have problem with their Natural Bust measurement, Natural Waist measurement and Hip measurement. Overall they can’t get right to get that hourglass shape, they look for .
I had opportunity to get known to customer in 2005 when I started selling online on eBay: Custom Corset. All my custom corset orders are special made according to measurement provided by customers. I went through lots of article on custom made corset, authentic corset and steel boned corsets for hourglass shape, but could not find thumb rule for custom made corset, perfect sizing. What’s important in custom made corset is that the corset should have perfect fir over the body; it should provide exact 4-6 inches reduction (as per customer) Here is how I manage to get my own formula for regular Punk69 styles I used to sell online .
For example a customer asked me to make a custom made corset sitting in USA, just mentioning a style no from my collection: She wanted to get Corset Style EB-10049 custom made. I asked for her Natural Bust Measurement , measurement take of fullest bust with just plain Bra on (no padded –This will give wrong measurement) Underbust measurement , Normal Waist , not low wait (where you wear jeans normally these days ) and fullest part of Hip that is just 5-6 inches below the waist line .
Since corset is always worn a size smaller in regards to clinch your body for shape. I just came up with an idea to get my custom made corset made. My first custom made corset, was not easy , I got model tried her with readymade corset , and saw there was problem in Busk, everything was going well. I then came up with idea to clinch Bust and Hip by 2 inches and Waist by 4 inches. I made a custom made corset for this model, which was from Bust Less 2 inches (-2 inch) , From Waist less 4 inches (-4 inches) from Hip Less 4 inches (-4 inch) . Model tried this corset on and this was perfect custom made corset. Since Bust measurement was 2 inches less, the bust was perfect in shape, Hip was in shape as well and it was easy to clinch 4 inches. This was a perfect hourglass authentic steel boned corset.
If natural measurement is correct , there is no issue with fitting with custom made corset , I sold around 300 corsets custom made , not a single complaints .There were 2 problem , later on we found that the measurement was not correct. There is no way custom made corset will have problem in fitting if measurements are given correct. Authentic Steel boned corsets are worn to reduce waist and it’s always worn smaller in size, so there can’t be an event where a corset is big or too small, if measurement for the corset is given correctly.
